Seasonal cleanup on a commercial property
Seasonal Cleanup

The two cleanups that bookend the season.

Spring cleanup gets the property ready for the mowing cycle. Fall cleanup gets it ready for winter and the first spring showing. Coordinated across your portfolio, full debris haul-off included.

The Two Cleanups

Spring sets up the season. Fall protects the property through winter.

Spring cleanup is the prep visit that lets every mowing cycle after it run clean. Fall cleanup is what keeps wet leaves from smothering turf, clogging catch basins, and turning into a tenant complaint when the snow melts.

Both are scoped per property and rolled out by route across the portfolio. You get a schedule in writing before crews mobilize.

Late March - Mid April

Spring Cleanup

The prep work that lets every mowing visit after it run clean. After the last frost, before the first cut.

  • Winter debris removal from turf and beds
  • Perennial and ornamental grass cutback
  • Bed clean-out ahead of mulch refresh
  • Spade-cut bed edge refresh
  • First-cut prep so the season starts clean
Mid October - Late November

Fall Cleanup

A two-pass cleanup that keeps wet leaves off turf and out of catch basins. Sets the property up for winter and the first spring showing.

  • First pass: mid to late October as leaves fall
  • Final pass: mid to late November, canopy bare
  • Bed and turf leaf collection
  • Catch basin and drain clearance
  • Plant cutback and winterization
Portfolio Rollout

How 41 properties get cleaned in two weeks

A multi-property cleanup is a logistics problem before it's a landscape problem. Crews, routes, disposal capacity, and the weather all have to line up.

Schedule locked first

You get the rollout calendar in writing before crews mobilize. Each property has a target window. Property managers can give tenants notice and we can coordinate access to gated or fenced sites.

Sequenced by route

Properties grouped by ZIP, then ordered for shortest travel and equipment movement. A 40-property cleanup rolls out over two to three weeks with crews moving territory by territory.

Disposal handled in-house

Trucks loaded on site, debris hauled off the same day. We have year-round arrangements with disposal facilities that handle the volume so you never see a pile left for "later."

Storm Response

Post-storm cleanup, separate scope, fast response

Heavy wind or hail events leave debris that goes beyond a standard seasonal cleanup. We mobilize portfolio-wide post-storm cleanups on a separate scope and price it after walking the affected properties. Existing portfolio clients get priority scheduling.

FAQ

What property managers ask about seasonal cleanups

When should spring cleanup happen?

+
In Cincinnati and NKY, the right window is late March through mid-April, after the last hard frost and before the first mowing visit. Earlier than that and you risk frost damage to fresh-cut perennials. Later and the debris from winter gets locked under fresh growth.

What does spring cleanup include?

+
Removal of accumulated leaves, sticks, and storm debris from beds and turf. Cutback of perennials and ornamental grasses that overwintered. Spade-cut refresh on bed edges. Pre-mulch bed clean-out so fresh mulch sits on clean soil. First-cut prep so the mowing season starts clean.

When should fall cleanup happen?

+
A first pass mid to late October as leaves start falling, then a final pass mid to late November once the canopy is bare. A one-pass fall cleanup leaves leaves to smother turf and clog drains. The two-pass approach prevents both.

Do you handle all the debris disposal?

+
Yes. Everything we collect leaves the property in our trucks. We have disposal arrangements that handle the volume from a 40-property portfolio without dumping on your bins or asking you to coordinate hauling.

Can we do cleanup as a one-time job without ongoing mowing?

+
For multi-property accounts, yes. Spring and fall cleanups are sometimes the first work a new property manager hires us for before adding mowing. For single residential one-offs, we generally don't take that work, our calendar is built around the portfolio cycle.

How do you coordinate cleanup across a multi-property portfolio?

+
We sequence cleanups by ZIP and route, same as mowing. A 40-property spring cleanup typically rolls out over two to three weeks with crews moving through territories in order. You get a schedule in writing before we start so your tenants and owners aren't surprised.

What if a property has heavy storm or hail debris?

+
Storm cleanup is quoted as a separate scope from the standard spring/fall cleanup. We can roll a crew out fast for portfolio-wide post-storm cleanup, but the volume and disposal cost varies enough that we price it after walking the properties.
