Why 4M

The pitch, in plain terms.

Most landscape companies say "reliable" because they all sound the same. Here's what reliable actually means for the 41 properties on our cycle right now, and why a portfolio-focused operator outperforms a one-man crew or a national chain.

The Four Differences

What separates us from the rest of the market

Most landscape companies in this market fall into one of two shapes: a one-truck operator who's good but can't scale, or a regional chain where you're a ticket number. 4M is built to be the missing third option.

The owner answers the phone

Derek runs the business and the route. Callback requests, scope changes, billing questions, all routed through one person. No ticket numbers, no call-center loop, no sales rep who hands off to a different account manager every quarter.

Built for portfolios, not residential

We don't quote driveways. The entire operation, from route engineering to invoicing, is structured around multi-property accounts. Single COI for the portfolio, per-property invoicing, coordinated rollouts, consistent crew assignments.

Schedule integrity as the product

Anyone can mow a lawn. The hard part is mowing the same 40 properties on a 7-10 day cycle across a season of weather variance. Route engineering, rerouting protocols, and off-cycle catch-up policy are what make 'on time, every time' an operational reality, not a slogan.

Focused service mix

Seven commercial services. No design-build, no irrigation install, no hardscape, no snow. We do mowing, trim, edge, mulch, cleanup, aeration, shrub, and leaf removal. Depth in those seven beats breadth in twenty.

An Honest Note on Size

Two anchor accounts. 41 properties on the cycle. Growing by referral.

We don't oversell scale we don't have. The current roster is two multi-property accounts (Neumann Brothers and BHHS PRO / Gateway Home Services) totaling 41 properties across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

That's a feature, not a limitation. It means every property on the route gets the operator's attention, the schedule discipline we built the business around stays intact, and onboarding a new portfolio doesn't dilute the service we provide to the ones already here. The growth plan is referral-based, intentional, and capped at what we can run without losing the cycle.
